Perform honing, polishing, lapping, deburring, and finishing processes.

Perform surface grinding operations on tooling components.

Inspect finished tooling using precision measuring equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements.

Read and interpret basic tooling prints, specifications, and work instructions.

Maintain proper tooling identification and traceability throughout the finishing process.

Complete required documentation and enter data into PLEX.

Organize and prioritize workload to support production schedules.

Perform routine cleaning activities.

Participate in all continuous improvement initiatives and duties within the department.

Perform additional duties as directed by the Tool Room Supervisor and/or Team Lead. 

High school diploma or GED.

Ability to read blueprints and tooling prints.

Ability to use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, indicators, and calipers.

Strong attention to detail.

Basic computer and data entry skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. regularly.

Must be able to work on feet for prolonged periods while using tools and perform repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.

Must abide by the Fastco safety procedures due to the hazards in the manufacturing work environment, including, hearing protection, eye protection, and proper footwear and clothing.
